Tour is operated by a locally owned and operated Tasmanian tour operator, with a 20 year certification as an Advanced Eco-certified tour operator.&nbsp; They are the first Tasmanian tour operator to do so!

If you cancel a booking:

Dormitory:&nbsp;Single-gender rooms of between 4-8 beds with shared bathroom facilities. Double/Twin* or Single hostel rooms may also be booked &ndash; these are basic private rooms with shared bathroom facilities.

*Twin/Double &ndash;&nbsp;Please note that if solo travellers wish to book a private room, they will need to select a hostel, or motel single room, as The Operator does not pair solo travellers in twin or double room options.

On this tour, you&#39;ll visit some incredible places throughout Tasmania, with the opportunity to get off the bus to&nbsp;explore whenever possible. While most of these trips are active in nature, the guides aim to offer walks that cater for all types of fitness with&nbsp;easy, medium and hard walking options.

Some walks are guided, while others are unguided (free walking)

In many locations, there is a choice between an easier or more advanced option. Essentially, you can make this as active or as easy as you like; all walks are optional and range from 20 minutes up to 4 hours.

Bring clothing that suits the season, while including warm clothes (it can get cold in the mountains), comfortable walking shoes, toiletries, a towel, hat, sunscreen, waterproof jacket, swimsuit, water bottle and camera. Luggage is restricted to one normal pack, bag or case (20kg) plus a small day pack.

All tours are self-catering; there are plenty of food stops where you can purchase from restaurants, cafes, takeaways&nbsp;or even supermarkets should you be accommodated in a hostel and wish to use the hostel&rsquo;s kitchen facilities. Some tours include samplings of local foods as per the itinerary.&nbsp;

This tour gives you the flexibility to choose where you eat and to enjoy local seasonal produce, while supporting local farmers and businesses.

The tours on offer are designed to help you see as much of Tasmania as possible with like minded travelers. There is no maximum age provided you have a good sense of adventure and a reasonable level of fitness, however, there is a minimum age of 8 years old to ensure all passengers get the most from the tour!

The maximum group size is 24 passengers plus the tour guide. These small group sizes&nbsp;allow you plenty of time to get to know your fellow passengers and guide.

Tours are conducted in modern, comfortable air-conditioned buses. By having small groups, it means you can spend as much time as possible outside the bus exploring the wonderful sights of Tasmania.

We included everything we believe is needed to have a great time in Tasmania while keeping our prices as low as possible. There are no extra charges or fees on any of our tours so the only expenses you&rsquo;ll have throughout the tour will be extra meals not included, optional extras or souvenirs from the great places you&rsquo;ll visit. The Gordon River Cruise: This is an iconic cruise you can join on our&nbsp;tour. Normally $105.00 but by joining our tour the cost is only $90.00 (this will also include a buffet lunch!). Please note this price is subject to change.

The Bicheno Penguin Tour: This is a great way to view Tasmania&rsquo;s Fairy Penguins up close in a natural setting. This tour takes place after sunset and has greatly assisted in the conservation of our feathered friends in Bicheno. $40.00 per person.&nbsp;Please note this price is subject to change.

Currently, masks are not mandatory in Tasmania on our tour vehicles, in accordance with the advice of the Tasmanian Public Health Authority. If this changes, guests and staff will be required to follow their current directions regarding masks.&nbsp; As a minimum requirement, we ask that you bring your own masks on tour, and keep one with you at all times. Learn how to safely wear, wash, and dispose of masks prior to coming on tour.

On our tours you will find additional cleaning, sanitising, and hygiene practices.  We focus on high touch points and hard surfaces.  We follow the WorkSafe guidelines for disinfecting and sanitising, as well as the recommended cleaning products.&nbsp; We have also we have implemented new Covid-19 staff training.

Any guest that tests positive for COVID-19 while on tour will be assisted by our staff to receive any medical attention they may require. Under Down Under will abide by the guidance of local health authorities. Please be aware that while we will assist any and all guests that require medical care or other support, any expenses incurred for treatment, testing or quarantine will need to be covered by the guest or guests affected.

Please bring a supply of hand sanitiser. We shall provide some on our tour vehicle and your accommodations will have some accessible; however, having your own supply will ensure that you have some protection during free time when you are exploring on your own.

Prior to travel, it is essential that you let our office know if you experience any symptoms of COVID-19, have been in isolation, or are known to have been in contact with someone that is suspected or has had COVID-19. Further, upon pick-up of all guests at the beginning of tour we shall ask each guest to complete a short health survey. At that time, if you have any symptoms of COVID-19, we will assist you to seek medical advice immediately. You will not be permitted to join the tour until cleared by a medical professional.

I had a great experience with this tour. We got to do most of Tasmania, and the guide, Sam, was really friendly, he knew a lot of the history and interesting facts of Tassie and it's wild life. He was also always making sure we were all content with the activities and that we got to do all we expected from the tour. 
5 days it's a bit rush to do the whole island, but if that's the time you have, this tour gives you a good overview of the wonders of Tasmania. Totally recommend it!
