Explore beyond Denver and head for the foothills of the Rocky Mountains on this small-group tour. Mountain panoramas, pine forests, Wild West history, and scenic canyon roads are within easy reach of the Mile High City, so you can get out of town even if you just have a half-day to spare. Stops include the famous Red Rocks Amphitheatre and the town of Golden. 
 
To begin, we will depart Union Station at 10:00 am. First, we will visit Historic Larimer Square. Then we will head west into the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. Our first stop will be the naturally formed world-famous Red Rocks Amphitheater and Park. There, we will enjoy 45 minutes at the Red Rocks Amphitheater and the visitor centre. Next, we will take a beautiful drive through the southern part of the park. Then we will visit the Buffalo Herd Overlook. The buffalo we will observe are direct descendants of the last wild buffalo herd left in America. After the buffalo viewing, we will take a scenic drive up 7,377 feet to the peak of Lookout Mountain, where we will have the chance to take in some breathtaking views. Here, you will be able to visit the Buffalo Bill Museum and Grave (admission is not included) for 45 minutes. Then we will descend into the town of Golden through the scenic and historic byway of the Lariat Loop. Here, you will have the option to end the Denver Foothills Tour exploring this historic western town for 1 hour. ​
