What to Expect
An extremely rewarding tour for those who love nature; the views from the cliff tops and rock platforms throughout this iconic region are breathtaking, with an array of intricate, quiet beaches and coves and the ancient geological features just waiting to be explored!
Walkers are given the options of which section of the Murramarang National Park to see for the day, in consultation with the friendly guide team, with the option of challenging longer trails or shorter sections of the park.
Starting with pickup from your Batemans Bay accommodation around 7:30am, we take the Princess Highway north to Murramarang National Park, a journey of approximately 40 minutes depending on the chosen departure location according to wind and swell.
At the launch site, your guide team will fit you out with paddling equipment and teach you how to store your dry belongings in the sea kayaks. Your guides will give you a full safety briefing prior to heading out for the day.
Paddling a sea kayak is a magical way to see the coastal area, towering cliffs, sheltered bays and rock passages are some of the highlights, along with dozens of empty beaches. You may even be lucky and encounter marine life on your trip including whales, dolphins and seals, all from the safety of your sea kayak.
Sea kayaking really opens up the otherwise remote and inaccessible beaches, islands, rock platforms and coves, you will discover wonderful places to stop in a sea kayak en route. We can choose any number of locations to land for our lunch break, a swim, a walk or a relax on shore. We aim to provide healthy and nutritious food, we cater for all dietary requirements with ample notice.
After lunch we swap kayaks for shoes and continue on foot to experience a more intimate affair with the park, as our guide team give insight into the development of the landscape, its periods and its changing nature. You can expect your afternoon walk to experience terrain such as beach, forest and rock platform.
On arrival at the end location, our driver will be onsite to transfer you back to your hotel of choice.
The exact route for your day, including depature point, will be chosen by the supplier the day prior using the wind and swell to aid our journey.
