Join us on a full-day tour that takes you though of the most beautiful sites of the Compania region. Pompeii, famous for the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 A.D and Naples, the city of delicious food, fun Italians, mandolins but also the centre of art and architecture.
Meet our team at 8:30 am at the train station in Rome, where after a quick one hour ride by high-speed train, we reach Naples where we take a connecting train to Pompeii. Pompeii is a UNESCO world heritage site covered by the eruption of the Vesuvio in the 79AD. Here, you will have two hours of free time to visit the site and learn about the ancient Romans and their lifestyle. You can either take an audio tour or organise a tour with a tour guide with us. In Pompeii, you join your tour leader for lunch that includes authentic Italian pizza.
After seeing Pompeii, we head back to Naples where your tour leader will walk you through the best sights in the narrow streets, showing you the hidden wonders of the city. From here you will be given free time to wander the town at your leisure. We will walk through the city centre, going by Spaccanapoli street, San Gregorio market and even the beautiful Piazza del Gesù. If there is still time we will continue towards Piazza Plebiscito, San Carlo's Theatre, Umberto I the gallery, Maschio Angioino and more. There is heaps of walking involved; we can guarantee you will sweat off the pizza!
We aim to return to Rome at around 8 pm.
