This classic Cusco city, Sacred Valley, and Machu Picchu tour is a complete package that takes you on one of the most incredible journeys in the world. It will show you the best of Peru&nbsp;in a very short time, following the ancient route of the Incas. We will start in the Capital of the Inca Empire &ndash; Cusco, and follow the Urubamba River, winding along the Sacred Valley of the Incas all the way to the sacred city of Machu Picchu.

DAY 1:&nbsp;Cusco: City Tour &amp; San Pedro Market

Upon arrival at the airport in Cusco, you will be welcomed by a guide&nbsp;who will drive you to your hotel. You&nbsp;will explore the amazing and historical city of Cusco, which was the capital of the great Inca Empire and is surrounded by the beautiful Andes Mountains. In the afternoon, you will begin your tour visiting the Plaza de Armas&nbsp;(or main square). You&nbsp;will continue your tour by exploring the Cathedral and admiring&nbsp;its exquisite vestibules and priceless paintings from the Cusco School of the 17th and 18th centuries.

Just a few blocks away,&nbsp;you will visit the famous 12 angle stone and Loreto Street. Nearby, you will visit the Qoricancha (or Temple of the Sun in Incas time), whose interior walls were said to have been covered in gold.&nbsp; As you return to the lower part of the city, you will stop off at the San Pedro Market, where you will be delighted by the variety of unique and traditional local products and discover new aromas and tastes.

DAY 2:&nbsp;Sacred Valley: Cotahuasi Zoo, Pisac, and Ollantaytambo

Today, you will experience a guided excursion to the enigmatic Sacred Valley of the Incas. The tour&nbsp;will start at 8&nbsp;am&nbsp;with a drive to Pisaq, passing through the animal sanctuary of Cotahuasi along the way. While there, you can see pumas, condors, llamas, alpacas, vicu&ntilde;as and guanacos.&nbsp;It&rsquo;s then another 30-minute&nbsp;drive&nbsp;to Pisaq, where you will&nbsp;visit the archeological site and the local market.&nbsp; After visiting the handicraft market, you&nbsp;will continue your journey, passing the Sacred Valley until you&nbsp;arrive at Ollantaytambo,&nbsp;&ldquo;The Last Living Inca Town&rdquo;. It is&nbsp;an old Inca fortified village where you&nbsp;will observe some of the best examples of Inca architecture in the region. Then, take a train to Aguas Calientes to have dinner and spent the night in a hotel.

DAY 3:&nbsp;Machu Picchu (The Lost City of the Incas) &ndash; Cusco

On your final day, you will&nbsp;have to get up very early to prepare for the highlight of your tour - visiting Machu Picchu,&nbsp;the Lost City of the Incas.&nbsp;You&nbsp;will go straight to the line to wait for the first bus going up to Machu Picchu at 5:30 am. Arrive&nbsp;as the sky brightens, taking in the stunning views along the way. Your guide will take you on a 2 to 3-hour comprehensive tour of the city before leaving you in Machu Picchu to explore on your own. You can choose to&nbsp;climb either Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain (must be booked as far in advance as possible). Your guide will explain how to take the bus from Machu Picchu to Aguas Calientes for lunch and take the train and bus back to Cusco. Once you arrive, you will meet with your guide who will drop you off at your hotel.

DAY 4:&nbsp;Depart Cusco

After having breakfast in the hotel, you will be transferred to the airport according to your departure flight time.
