What to Expect

This intimate Barossa food and wine experience is a private tour of the Valley. Taste the best drops, chat with winemakers, and enjoy a two-course lunch with time for coffee and chocolate port by the fire or on a sunny deck. Enjoy a full-day food and wine journey to South Australia’s premium wine region. You'll have time to sample some of the Barossa’s finest wines and gourmet food that makes this wine region so special. On this tour, you'll visit Barossa Valley Chocolate Company, and two award-winning cellar doors.

Itinerary:

Travel through the city of Adelaide north toward the world-renowned Barossa wine region. Enjoy the change of scenery as you make your way into the vineyards of South Australia’s premium wine region. Your first stop is Pindarie, a multi-tourism award-winning cellar door, which feels more like an Australian Homestead than a winery. The friendly staff shares stories behind the wines as you sample blends in the heritage stables. Sit back and admire their stunning vineyard views while you enjoy morning tea.

The next stop is Provenance Barossa, the original home of Penfolds in the Barossa, which played a key role in the local wine industry since the early 1900’s. Provenance Barossa is home to an exclusive collection of food and beverage businesses offering unique experiences. There will be free time for you to visit one or more of the 6 food and beverage outlets (you will receive discount vouchers for special offers at these outlets).

The next stop is Lambert Estate at Angaston. Enjoy a structured wine tasting whilst sampling local seasonal produce from gourmet platters. The main course follows with two signature dishes, salad, and vegetables. You may wish to purchase a glass of wine from the impressive wine selection or enjoy a coffee accompanied by their popular Chocolatier (Chocolate Port).

After Lambert Estate, the tour travels to Mengler Hill Lookout for sweeping views over the valley and then onto the Barossa Valley Chocolate Company the final stop for the day. Here you will taste house-made chocolates paired with Vineyard Road’s handcrafted wines. The best way to end this epic Barossa food and wine experience!
