What to Expect
Riding camels along Cable Beach is an iconic experience and a must-do while in Broome. Join this 'taster' tour, which is perfect for young families or those that are unsure they can last an hour on a camel! Taking place in the afternoon, this is a perfect way to finish a day in Broome.
Meet your guide north of the rocks for check-in before meeting the camels and enjoying some time to take pictures with them. The staff will then perform a safety induction where you are shown how to get on the camels safely.
Once on, you'll set off heading north along the beautiful beach, where your guide will tell you about the camel you are riding on and answer any questions you may have.
When the camel train turns around to head back to the starting point, the staff will take the opportunity to snap some photos for you on your own camera so you have a lasting memory of this unique experience.
Departure info
The tour departs from North Of The Rocks, Cable Beach, Broome (look for the camels with blue blankets).
Frequently Asked Questions
You'll need to wear something you're comfortable riding a camel in, so shorts or pants are ideal as you'll be sitting straddled on the camel. A hat and sunglasses are also recommended.
Make sure you bring a camera and a hat. However, guests are asked to leave any heavy bags or loose items behind for the duration of the tour. You can leave it in the Operator's van, and they will take all reasonable care to protect this property.
The Operator will do their best to accommodate all guests where possible, including those with medical conditions or disabilities. Please advise at the time of booking of any additional needs of guests, and participation will be decided upon a case-by-case basis where the safety of the guest, camel and staff is ensured.
There is a carpark on Cable Beach Road W, near the Cable Beach Club Resort. Then it's a 500-metre walk to the meeting location north of the rocks.
