Located just 38kms north of Broome, join the team and discover the journey of the Australian South Sea Cultured Pearl from shell to showroom amidst the magnificent Kimberley landscape. With ever-changing scenery and an array of things to do, Willie Creek Pearl Farm offers a fantastic day out.
The tides, temperature and nutrient-rich waters of the area make it the perfect environment to see the pearl-producing Pinctada maxima oyster in its natural habitat. The crystal clear waters and mangrove-lined banks of Willie Creek Pearl Farm are home to all kinds of wildlife, from barramundi to brolgas and even a few saltwater crocs!
This award-winning tour gives a unique insight into the fascinating process of modern cultured pearl farming. Enjoy a very warm welcome, then learn about the collection and spawning of oysters in the purpose-built hatchery, appreciate the delicate operations of seeding and harvesting oysters, understand the value of pearls and insights into the creation of stunning jewellery.
You will enjoy a boat ride on the beautiful azure waters of Willie Creek and view live oysters suspended in their natural environment amongst the native flora and fauna.
Then, have fun in the beautiful showroom, trying on the fabulous pearls with personalised service. It's the perfect place to purchase a piece of Broome to take home with you as the ultimate souvenir or gift.
You can choose to visit the farm for a tour via a self-drive option (4WD recommended), or enjoy the convenience of air-conditioned transfers from Broome, letting you really experience the colours of the Kimberley.
All tours include delicious morning or afternoon tea. For selected tours, you can also add on an optional lunch platter that includes a glass of beer, wine, or soft drink. The menu offers a choice of seafood, vegetarian, or meat-inclusive platters, each served with crusty bread.

**IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR SELF-DRIVERS**
The road to Willie Creek Pearl Farm is unsealed and we recommend using only a 4WD as the road condition can vary at certain times of the year, and from day to day, affecting the access to the Pearl Farm.
Unfortunately, The Operator is not able to provide recovery services for you or your vehicle should you become stranded on the roads to Willie Creek, you travel at your own risk and we are not liable for any charges incurred by you in this event.
If you are unfamiliar with the area please phone the bookings office ahead of time so they know when to expect you.
Don't rely on GPS directions, as it will likely guide you across the salt pan which is often wet, very slippery and muddy. Use the advised track following the red or blue markers.
During the months of December through April, Broome experiences spectacular wet season storms. During this time you may be required to use our alternative blue track to access the Pearl Farm. Self-Drive instructions and a map are provided upon booking via your confirmation email.
There is sunscreen, water, and bug spray at Willie Creek Pearl Farm for your convenience.
Whatever is comfortable to wear; closed-in shoes are not required, however, some people find it more comfortable when climbing down the steps to board the boat. Most people do bring a hat; however, you don’t spend a large amount of time in the direct sun.
A minimum of 24 hours notice is required for bookings to be changed or cancelled at nil charge. Bookings cancelled within 24 hours incur 100% charge
Changes are subject to availability
Cancellations of group bookings require a minimum of 7 days notice to avoid fees. Cancellation with less than 7 days notice will incur 50% of the tour price
COVID-19 related cancellations - if a Government Directive is applicable that results in a cancellation (ie. mandatory lockdown or border closure), then a full refund will be given. In any other cases, our standard cancellation policy applies
