We love that this tour squeezes the Hobart highlights into just one day. It's perfect for anyone with a time limit!
Head off from Hobart at 8.00am while the streets are quiet. En route to spectacular Kunanyi (Mt. Wellington), you'll enjoy a city highlights tour!
Once you reach the mountain, breathe in the famous pristine Tasmanian air as you zoom up to the pinnacle. That's 1272m high! Here, you'll be greeted by the best view of Hobart and surrounds. After you take the perfect photo, it's time to head back down to the city.
if you're travelling on a Saturday, stop in at the Salamanca Market. This world class market offers the best of Tassie culture - art, produce, buskers, souvenirs, beverages and much more! You'll have an hour and a half to explore here before you're off to your next stop, Richmond.
Richmond is an iconic township, rich in convict history, sandstone and colonial buildings. It's also home to Australia’s oldest bridge and catholic church.
After exploring, it's time to decide what you want to do for the rest of the afternoon. There are two options: Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary or MONA!
At Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary you can hand feed kangaroos and get up close and personal with all the unique Tasmanian and Australian wildlife. You'll even meet the famous Tasmanian Devil.
At MONA Museum, you'll discover an incredible art collection at what is the largest privately owned museum in the southern hemisphere! Famous for its quirky and strange art, this museum also offers restaurants and bars that showcase delicious local wine and Tasmanian produce. You'll enjoy your time wandering around this renowned attraction.
If both options sound good and you're struggling to make a decision, there is the option to do both! You'll need to pay an additional fee of $50.00 on the day if this is the case. If you opt for both, the MONA ferry will take you back to Salamanca where you'll need to make your own way back to your accommodation.
