This premium wine and gin tasting tour begins with being picked up from your hotel or home by air-conditioned minibus, with door to door round-trip for your convenience.&nbsp;Your driver and wine tour guide will take you to the best wine experiences at 2 Tamar Valley cellar doors and a comprehensive gin tasting at a distillery. This half-day tour&nbsp;stays within 30 minutes travel time from Launceston, so you&#39;ll have be able to sample wine, plus still enjoy time to relax, dine or shop before or after.&nbsp;

The first stop is Josef&nbsp;Chromy, where you&#39;ll learn about this Tasmanian wine legend. He fled his war-torn&nbsp;Czech village in 1950 to escape Nazi and Soviet occupation, eventually emigrating to Australia. He&#39;s been pivotal in developing the Tasmanian food and wine industry, owning or developing famous vineyards such as&nbsp;Jansz, Heemskerk and Tamar Ridge. With 61 hectares of vines, Josef Chromy Wines produces&nbsp;Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Riesling and Sauvignon Blanc.

Next, it&#39;s time for something to eat. Indulge in a generous lunch, accompanied by a glass of wine (of course!) at one of Tamar Valley&#39;s premier venues,&nbsp;such as&nbsp;Rosevears Hotel overlooking the scenic Tamar river. Following lunch, sample more premium wines with a&nbsp;tasting at the Tamar Ridge cellar door.
