Plus, it boasts a rich Indigenous history, with The Kukuk Yalangi people the traditional custodians of the land.
Your adventure starts at a secret location on the Mossman River for a one of a kind Mossman River Drift Snorkelling tour. This exciting and unique water adventure along the Mossman River is the perfect experience for water and nature lovers. You'll journey down the river with a combination of swimming, snorkelling, floating and walking. It's an amazing eco-immersion adventure that’s different every time!
Step into the cool, crystal-clear water and drift with the current as you discover life under the water’s surface. As you explore one of the cleanest rivers in Australia, keep an eye out for some of the friendly inhabitants, including over 30 species of fish, turtles, water dragons, colourfulbirds, electric blue butterflies, and even the elusive platypus!
After a delicious lunch to refuel, enjoy a traditional Kuku Yalanji smoking ceremony at the Mossman Gorge; you’ll be cleansed of bad spirits and have traditional rainforest body paint applied.
Then you'll join a 1 hr 30 min guided Dreamtime walk through the forest. Surrounded by lush green rainforest, your guide takes you through some of the most stunning parts of the Daintree National Park. As you explore Mossman Gorge, stand in awe beneath the giant strangler figs while your guide teaches you all about their unique life-cycle. Plus, keep on the lookout for the Boyd’s Forest Dragon.
