What to Expect
This all-inclusive 1-day motorcycle tour is the perfect way for the adventurous rider to escape the heat of Santa Marta and explore the mountainous jungle terrain nearby. On this 8-hour tour, you will explore the village of Minca with the assistance of a qualified guide.
Your tour will begin ar 9 am with a departure from Santa Marta. Then, travel less than an hour from the coastal Caribbean beaches to one of the highest coastal mountain ranges in the world -- the Sierra Nevada. The Sierra Nevada is home to the small mountain town of Minca, which you will get to explore on this tour.
Enjoy the region's organic coffee, incredibly diverse wildlife, and crystal clear-waterfalls. You'll get to tour La Victoria coffee plantation where you can drink fresh-brewed coffee right from the source. Then, travel to the top of Los Pinos viewpoint, where you can catch incredible views of Santa Marta. Go swimming and cliff-jumping at Marinka and Pozo Azul waterfalls.
Around midday, you will stop for a lunch break at La Fuente Bed and Breakfast, a British pub in the middle of the jungle. Around 5 pm, you will return to your starting location.

Beginner: Zero motorcycle experience required. Lessons are compulsory for first-time riders and included for free in the tour price, or you may ride an automatic scooter.
Intermediate: Comfortable riding a motorcycle on sealed roads, in moderate-heavy traffic, on mildly uneven/ unsealed roads, and up to 4-5 hours per day. You may require minor assistance in some harder off-road sections.
Advanced: Extensive riding experience (including a minimum 1 year off-road). You are comfortable riding on almost any terrain in any weather conditions for up to 6 hours per day.
Santa Marta: The meeting point is a short 5,000 COP taxi away, at Carrera 21 #20 -36 in Bario Jardin (Drop Bear Hostel).
Cartagena: Your best bet for transportation to and from Cartagena is with Marsol or Berlinas. Both have comfortable shuttle vans, and Marsol even offers door to door service. Usually, the journey takes about 4 hours.
The meeting point is conveniently located at Drop Bear Hostel, which offers dorm beds as well as private rooms at competitive rates.
In Colombia, you do not need an international driver's license when you are in the country on a tourist visa. Bikes 124cc and below do not require a motorcycle endorsement.
