Itinerary
The tour will start when you meet your friendly local guide who is an expert on all the hidden gems of this engaging city. If you have booked the tour in the morning, you will start off by sampling a traditional Vietnamese breakfast, and will also follow up with a delicious egg coffee, a speciality in these parts. Once breakfast is finished you will have the chance to explore three of the best local alleyways in the Old Quarter, where you will be able to get a firsthand look at how local residents live.
You will get to see local craftsmen at work, as well as businesses setting up for the day, and will take in a range of small shops that most tourists miss on a trip to Hanoi. After exploring the labyrinths of shops and houses in the Old Quarter, you will then have lunch where you can choose the kind of food you would like to sample. If you are feeling adventurous, then your guide will make some suggestions on finding the best bites in the city.
After a chance to try some local flavours, you will then visit some more of the Old Quarter, which will include a trip to shop houses of blacksmiths, prominent local artists, and well-known Vietnamese traders. There is also the option to visit a traditional wooden stamp making workshop where you can learn to make your own signature stamp if you wish. This will add another two hours to the itinerary and can be selected by choosing the add-on to the tour
